2014-2015 Snooker Season

The new snooker season is underway, and the Club would like to welcome and thank new players to the snooker season. We wish Orrin Bester, Robert Spark, Dom Lawlor, Tom Patterson, Barry Hall and Andrew Spriggs to their respective teams and wish them well during the season.

Mark Hammer Grand Final 2014

This years Club Championship was taken out by Graham Toll who, in a masterful display defeated Glenn Purdy. The win now places Graham on the Honor Board alongside his son Shane as winners of the Championship. Graham had a tough draw and worked his way through to the final where he was victorious. Well done to Graham and all involved.

Grand Final Club Championships 29th May 2014

Tonight, the Grand Final of the Glenn Purdy Club Championship will be played between Josh Thompson and Glenn Purdy. It promises to be a great night, the match being played over a best of 5 frames. The action starts at 7.30 pm, and all members are encouraged to attend and support the players. Good luck to both men

Table Recovering

Thanks to the City of Greater Bendigo and Snooker City Ballarat, we have been able to recloth our tables in time for billiards season. The tables are beautiful to play on and care must be taken to ensure they remain in pristine condition for as long as possible.

AGM

Following last Friday nights AGM, Dale Gifford was elected as Club President. Apart from being an accomplished player, Dale is a passionate member of the club and will do a great job. Glenn Purdy is Vice President again, and Chris Elston retained the secretary role. Dale and Stan Cripps will share the treasurer role. Mick Crennan received a Certificate of Appreciation for his outstanding contribution to the club.

New Long Rests and Equipment

The new long equipment is in the club and ready for use. The long cues have a fine 10mm tip which will be great to use, Thanks to Empowering Eaglehawk and Michael from Sharp Snooker.
