Mark Hammer Grand Final Result

Last night Paul Taylor defeated Jason Henning to win the Grand Final of the Mark Hammer Memorial Billiards Championship. This prestegious event is our Club Championship and is an honor board event. Congratulations to both players on their achievement in the tournament.

A great night was had at the Annual Presentation night, with the Eaglehawk Club players picking up a number of trophies for their efforts during the year.

This Thursday at 7.30 pm, Jason Henning plays Paul Taylor in the Grand Final of the Mark Hammer Memorial Championship, which is our Club Championship for 2011. Good luck to both players and it would be great to see as many members as possible to support both players.

Stan Cripps - Big Game Player

Although a great team effort by the Eaglehawk B Grade Billiard team last night, special mention must be made on the efforts of Stan Cripps. Stan played a great game with breaks of 33 and 21, setting the team up from the start.

Eaglehawk B Grade Billiards win Grand Final

In a great night of Billiards, Eaglehawk B Grade finished the season of with a win over Golden Square at the VRI Billiard Room last night. The night was set up with wins by Stan Cripps and Josh Thompson, with Stan leading the way with a 33 and 21 break in the final. Well done to all involved.

Albury trip

During the Goldfields Open I met a gentleman by the name of Graham Tucker who is the President of the SS&A snooker club in Albury. We discussed the idea of a weekend of Billiards and Snooker so give some thought if you would like a weekend away. I will make up a notice to get an idea of the level of interest in a trip. Graham also was interested in a visit to Bendigo from his club to play us. At this stage it is just an idea but hopefully it can eventuate.

Dominic Dale def Neil Robertson 5 - 4

Eaglehawk club member Neil Robertson lost the deciding frame on the black last night in the Godfields Open. Dominic Dale needed a snooker which he got before potting the pink and black, to take the deciding frame.

Please note that the "A" & "B" Grade Billiard games for 18th & 19th July have been
cancelled by the Association as a show of support for the Australian Snooker Goldfields Open Championship.


The "A" Grade draw for July 18th will replace the Sept 26th draw.
A new copy of the draw will be issued in the next few days.

Despite all of the excitement with the Goldfields Open, locally it is Billiards season. Many people are unaware of skills required to play this wonderful game. Here is a video which shows a world class break. New members can receive coaching to develop the skills and techniques of the game, which will improve your play in all cue sports.

Goldfields Open

The Goldfields Open Snooker toutrnament is just over a month away, and we look forward to many of the worlds elite players taking part in the event. During the launch of the tournament at the Eagklehawk Billiard and Snooker Club, 2010 World Champion Neil Robertson accepted an honorary membership to our club. We look forward to supporting our clubmate during the tournament.
